Bing adds call to action in its SERPs

Published on September 27, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Bing says that it will integrate calls to action for a collection of e-commerce websites.

The Microsoft-owned search engine has been very aggressive in trimming Google’s substantial lead in the search engine market. One of Bing’s first moves is to integrate calls to action alongside its search results pages. This will give Bing-centered search engine optimization campaigns the chance to convert searches more quickly.

Currently, only selected sites in seven business areas have managed to get calls-to-action buttons in Bing SERPs. These industries are airline, courier, restaurant, banking, car rental, software, and hotels. Searches for specific business names are the only ones that reel in the new buttons.

Most of Bing’s improvements are centered on faster searching and faster results.
