Microsoft sites, including Bing, increased their share of the US search engine market by one percent last January, according to statistics from Nielsen.

MSN, Windows Live, and Bing accounted for 1.9 billion searches last month, which comprised more than 10 percent of the market.

Yahoo! maintained its second place standing during January with 1.48 billion searches, which accounted 14.5 percent of the total market share.

Of course, Google was still the dominant force in the US search market. However, its market share was reduced by one percent for January at 66.3 percent.
