Is blogging important for a retailer’s search engine optimization campaign?

Apparently, it is. According to Technorati, blog content can actually drive sales.

Charles Black, the company’s president, recently spoke at the SES San Francisco conference. He reminded people that blog publications are great for lead generation. They provide valuable information to consumers, which can influence the sale.

Black says that more than 60% of consumers refer to blogs to find expert opinions about products they want to purchase. In fact, Black says that more than 52% of blog readers believe that blog content influenced what they wanted to buy.
