EU investigation on Google continues

Because it has the biggest search rate, Google is the main focus of search engine optimization around the world. Apparently, SEO campaigns aren’t the only things that are paying close attention to Google. Even the public sector is watching it.

European regulators are now investigating the search giant’s approaches to its smaller rivals. The investigators are studying if the smaller rivals were—in anyway—stopped by Google from competing the search market.

The investigation began when Google was suspected of acting against rival search engines by stopping sites from displaying rival advertisements. Speculators say that Microsoft was one of the many companies that filed the complaint.

Several “vertical search” providers are currently being questioned to investigate the accusation.
