Facebook Places now in UK

Published on September 23, 2010 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Facebook Places is now available for UK users.

This feature allows subscribers to publish their location on a map, which their friends can view.

“This is really the beginning in terms of how we start to weave location into out everyday lives,” explained Michael Sharon, Facebook Places product manager, in an interview with the Guardian.

Search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns can use the feature to boost their potential. This is particularly useful in targeting Facebook mobile browsers, whom have increased location relevance.
