Facebook SEO to hold more value with new search engine function

Published on August 13, 2009 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

In the past few months, there has been a lot of buzz regarding the use of search engine optimization (SEO) of Twitter users. And with the introduction of a new and improved search query for Facebook, it seems like SEO is invading social media.

Just this week, Facebook announced that it will introduce a new search function, which the developers have been testing since July. The new search function will allow users to view the last 30 days of their news feed—giving them results from friends and fan pages.

In addition to that, Facebook subscribers will also see results from people outside their friends list—users who have opted to have their content available to the public.

With more and more companies using Facebook to increase their online visibility, this new update will bring more value to the site’s SEO.
Facebook has also added a mini feature that makes user updates look like tweets.
