Google and Mozilla Firefox will stay together for the next three years

Mozilla and Google will be staying together beyond 2012.

According to reports, Mozilla has reached an agreement with Google to extend its term as the default search engine of the popular browser.

While the financial terms of the deal were left undisclosed, the deal will have plenty of search engine optimization benefits for Google. Chances are: online marketers will be automatically exposed to Google if they use Chrome or Firefox.

Sources claim that Google’s main motive in this arrangement is to preserve its status as the go-to search provider of millions of browsers. For SEO, Google’s popularity makes it the main basis and measuring stick of marketing campaigns.

On the other hand, Microsoft has created a plug-in that can make Bing the default search tool of Firefox browsers.
