Google continues to drop, Bing consistently rises

Published on June 23, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Google is consistently loosing small parts of its market share to Bing. If the trend continues, it could shake the entire search engine optimization industry.

While Google has continued to lose small parts of its market share, Bing has become the biggest gainer in the past year.

Statistically, Google still has around 65% of the market. According to sources, however, it has lost 16% of its market share in the past year. On the other hand, Bing has managed to increase its market share by more than 70%.

But you don’t have to abort your Google-centered SEO campaign anytime soon. The good thing is: Bing’s bringing in healthy competition. Ultimately, this will result in upgrades for the two search engines, which will try to separate themselves from the pack.
