Google introduces mobile SEO upgrades

Published on October 16, 2009 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

For the past weeks, Google has launched several updates for its mobile platform, making search easier and adding extra search engine optimization (SEO) dimensions for professionals to consider.

The search engine giant has localized search on iPhones through the Safari browser and recently increased its support for Windows Mobile phones. Google’s application now categorizes results according to the location of the device performing the search. This will allow phone users to easily find the nearest restaurants and banks.

Plus, Google’s Android mobile operating system also contains several features, including barcode scanning. And the company is constantly improving its voice recognition software, which is available for the Blackberry, the iPhone, and selected Android devices.

To broaden its potential for search engine optimization, Google has updated its version of Google squared—its statistical and factual search engine.
