Google is still the best option for SEO focus

Published on December 7, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Google is still the top search engine in cyberspace.

According to a report from Zenith Optimedia, Google is consistently growing as it gives marketers more options for search engine optimization.

Six years ago, Google accounted for around 35 percent of advertising dollars online, while Yahoo! accounted for 18 percent. Since then Google has extended its lead and Yahoo! continuously decreased its share.

Most SEO campaigns are focused on Google. Companies create content, e-mail, and pay-per-click campaigns around the site; and their efforts result in better exposure and, more importantly, better sales.

Zenith Optimedia, the company behind the search, predicts that Google’s dominance will continue as more businesses migrate online.

Throughout 2011, Google consistently held around 66 percent of online searches.
