Google properties generate most traffic for July

Published on August 24, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Google is still on top of the heap.

While Bing and Yahoo are working double time to topple the search engine giant (and they have gained some ground), Google still accounts for majority of traffic on the web.

For July, Google emerged as the top traffic generator according to comScore data statistics. And this can largely be attributed to its web property, YouTube.

Experts also attribute the figures to the release of Google+, which has created lots of buzz in the World Wide Web. Statistics indicate that Google received more than 180 million unique visitors in July. On the other hand, Yahoo had 177 million. Microsoft, Facebook, and AOL round out the top five entries.
