Google reasserts its place in the search engine market

With a deal between Bing and Yahoo on the pit, Google’s lead in the search engine market is slowly decreasing. However, recent statistics indicate that the search engine giant had solid numbers for the month of November.

According to Experian Hitwise, Yahoo lost the most to Google in the month of November. Yahoo dropped 3 percent from the previous month on its US searches. On the other hand, Bing’s performance remained consistent with a slight 2 percent decrease on its US-search statistics.

The deal between Bing and Yahoo will definitely affect the search engine optimization (SEO) playing field. However, the deal has yet to get regulatory approval in the United States (US).

How will these changes SEO campaigns? Well, experts should take note of the shares of the search engines. These shares will be the basis of resources distributed to appropriate techniques targeted at the most relevant search engines. For instance, if the search trends focus more on Google, then SEO campaigns should dedicate more resources to Google.
