Google rolls out real time search

Published on December 14, 2009 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Real time search is set to debut for Google this week and search engine optimization (SEO) experts are eager to observe how the new feature will affect search engines.

Real time search is similar to normal searches, but it has second search features. When a keyword is searched, real-time search delivers the most relevant websites and also offers content from social media sites, like Facebook and MySpace.

Bing also has a similar feature that is said to cover more topics. However, the search engine does not control the majority of the search engine market. This means that its feature will not affect SEO as much as Google’s.

The most significant impact that real time search will do is to drive down traditional SEO searches. Constant updates will bring in new results with each search, driving older pages down.

Brands have an opportunity to take advantage of real time search. Their presence in Twitter and other social networking sites can strengthen their online presence.
