Google stays on top

Published on January 16, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Earlier this week, Nielsen statistics indicated that Google is still the top-ranking search engine in the United States (US) during the final month of 2009. The search engine had around 6.7 billion searches for December 2009.

The report also said that search engine optimization (SEO) practitioners will not need to modify or retarget existing campaigns.

Yahoo also maintained its standing in cyberspace as America’s second top search engine. On the other hand, Bing’s numbers went down.

All indicators point to another gain in the search engine market by Google. Both Bing and Yahoo lost percentage points.

Major changes will take place in 2010 as Bing and Yahoo will merge, creating a more formidable opponent for Google.
