Google to streamlines mobile search with new iPad app

Published on November 23, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Google announced that it will release a new iPad search application. The new tool will streamline search for the tablet, bringing mobile search up to speed.

Once a user clicks on a link; it will load in a new window, preserving the SERP. Google says that the app will boast easy-to-use navigation features.

Google made a strong effort to include site speed, which is a key element in mobile search.

The image search has also been optimized for the tablet. Users will be able to scroll through the results—rather than opening and closing each image individually. In addition to that, the app also has features for social sharing and locating relevant user content.

Mobile search engine optimization is growing. Google’s efforts to improve it indicate the value of the platform. Brands need to focus in mobile SEO, as well, in order to succeed in the online market.
