Google upgrades custom search feature—will this affect SEO?

Google has now added new features to its custom search engine, which could mean new opportunities for search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns.

Custom search, which is commonly used to limit the search to a data range, will now be integrated with a Wikipedia search. Experts say that this will enhance the site’s usability.

The new features will particularly be beneficial to SEO campaigns on large websites, because it will allow them to organize the search more effectively. Apart from convenience, custom search will also be sporting a new layout.

Recently, Google has been ramping up its site with several new and improved features, like music search and its enhancements in image search.
