Google+ visits decrease for July

Published on July 28, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

According to reports, Google+ visits have decreased by 3% in the past week. On the other hand, marketing for Google+ has been a success for its users.

Hitwise says that Google+ had less visits in the past week. In mid July, the social network’s visits increased by more than 280%. Also, researchers claim that browsers’ time on site also increased. Currently, users average more than five minutes each time they visit the site.

While there was an overall decrease in visits, Larry Page—Google’s CEO—is satisfied with overall activities in the site. “We are seeing over 1 billion items shared and received [on Google+] in a single day,” says Page.

The success indicates that content marketing efforts are usually rewarded. This makes Google+ a prime option for search engine optimization campaigns.
