Google will investigate cloaking in 2011

Published on December 29, 2010 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

In 2011, Google promises to investigate cloaking, a practice that offers different search results to users and search engines.

According to sources, the search engine will address the issue in the first quarter of next year.

Cloaking goes against Google’s webmaster guidelines and could even lead to the removal of a site from the search engine’s index. This is a precaution to sites that use cloaking.

This past month, Google has been investing more time on refining its algorithm against negative search engine optimization techniques.
