Holidays bring more work and money for and from SEO

Published on December 8, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

The holidays will bring a lot of work for search engine optimization specialists. And history tells us that the duplicated efforts often pay off.

According to comScore—a renowned market research firm, American companies earn around $20 billion from holiday sales.

For online companies, December is the perfect time to pull out discounts and other promotions. But all these selling approaches need to be moderated.

During the middle of the month, online retailers usually pull back all promotions to restore margins. This will be followed by an abrupt increase in their spending activities, ending in more revenue for the brands.

Another big part of holiday SEO campaigns is e-mail marketing. With Christmas at hand, consumers are more alert about exclusive offers that they can take advantage of.
