Images are a big part of SEO

Published on December 13, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Images can deliver solid support to content marketing campaigns for search engine optimization. Images, which are paired with captions and tags, can go a long way in providing SEO benefits.

Aside from SEO benefits, captions and meta data in pictures will also give a site a more professional, high-quality look. When a browser spots a compelling photograph, he/she is more or likely to consider its site more authoritative.

As for meta data, it can be used to ensure that the picture appears in image searches.

For pictures, similar SEO rules apply as other forms of content. They also need keyword-tagged titles, captions, and descriptions.
