Leveraging your SEO campaign for Twitter

Published on July 20, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Social media plays a big part in search engine optimization. SEO campaigns that don’t have it, are more likely to fail or are not as successful as they can be.

So, how do you develop a successful Twitter campaign? Does planting more links and getting more contacts really get the job done? Well, not really. It’s a bit more complicated than that.

Which situation is better: a company with 100 Twitter followers or 1,000 Twitter followers? That depends. If the 1,000 followers don’t engage in conversations, and the 100 followers do. Then less is better.

Twitter followers need to be engaged by the brand in order for the campaign to succeed. Before you think of automated responses, think again. Statistics say that automated responses usually turn off the consumers. On the other hand, specific conversations rouse the interests of the consumer more. And this usually results in higher conversion rates.
