Mobile internet ads—a growing industry

Published on February 8, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   1 Comment

Recent research indicates that PR and marketing campaigns in the mobile platform are yielding higher ad awareness and brand favorability.

InsightExpress, a digital marketing research specialist, says that mobile internet ads are still the preferred ad medium compared to SMS and video ads.

Search engine marketing campaigns for the mobile web had significant increases in ad awareness and brand favorability.

Mobile video is also showing signs of potential for advertising. It had a 13 percent benchmark increase for brand favorability.

“However, the high levels of engagement, the explosion in technical capabilities, low levels of clutter and the novelty of mobile advertising all likely contribute to the increased brand impact,” explained Joy Liuzzo, senior director of marketing for mobile research at InsightExpress.
