Online companies can’t ignore Bing and Yahoo

Published on November 24, 2010 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Google is the focus of most search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns. But, ignoring Bing makes these campaigns miss out on the chance to reach new consumers, says a report from Chitika.

The firm says that online businesses that don’t optimize for all the three major search engines miss out on a significant volume of traffic and revenue. Based on statistics, more than 40% of online companies are receiving low traffic numbers from Bing and Yahoo. Targeting Bing can actually increase web traffic to your site by more than 9%.

The integration of Bing and Yahoo should not be ignored. While they still don’t qualify to be the main focus of SEO campaigns, they deserve more attention. And paying attention to them will translate to more traffic and revenue.
