PPC and user-friendly design—crucial for online businesses

Published on December 4, 2009 by David Castillo   ·   1 Comment

Pay per click (PPC) marketing is a crucial element to any online business. PPC is particularly more relevant today, when consumers are getting more and more lazy to key-in search terms and URL addresses.

Sam Tilston—from Zoombits.co.uk—says that PPC is vital, because it prevents competitors from redirecting traffic.

Tilston also mentioned that being a user-friendly site gives you a big edge over your rival sites. This can be done by focusing on top page navigation bars and user-friendly URLs.

“Whatever the user is looking for, be it information, [a] product or service, must be within two clicks of the homepage,” explained Tilston.

According to Zoombits, the top queries were Facebook, BBC, YouTube, Hotmail, games, eBay, Google, and Yahoo.
