Product categorization and search engine optimization

Published on March 25, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Product categorization is a big part of search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns.

According to experts, ensuring proper categorization can ensure online exposure. Search engines, like Google, use algorithms to establish the relevance and ranking of search results. Sites that mismatch their product categories are more or likely to suffer from low visibility and zero traffic.

First and foremost, avoid listing products that are not in stock. This will quickly ruin your online reputation. The site should be complemented by excellent SEO-compliant content. This builds your online reputation. Just make sure that you follow through with it.
