Protect yourself from fake SEO

Published on February 18, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Based on recent statistics, fake search engine optimization (SEO) operations are becoming more rampant.

More and more online companies are investing in SEO, and as a consequence more companies are offering SEO services. And this has also spawned several SEO scammers—companies that claim to know SEO, but really don’t.

Search engine algorithms change periodically. This means that SEO is an ever-evolving playing field and top rankings are not guaranteed. That’s why it’s best to learn more about SEO basics before consulting with SEO specialists. This will protect you from scams.

People that are not familiar with SEO can be easily conned into paying scammers.

To avoid this, run a background check on your considered SEO company. Refer to their past clients and if you can contact these clients, do so. The company’s past work is a good indicator of their expertise.
