Put search tail phrases in your keywords

Published on June 7, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

When it comes to search engine optimization (SEO), experts have always recommended that the most frequently used keywords are the best keywords. But, this is not necessarily so.

Small companies place tail phrases in their keywords to get better exposure. Commonly used keywords will bring more competition.

For instance: ‘business.’ This keyword is surely used by many big companies, which have bigger budgets and better SEO campaigns than startups. With a tail phrase, it can be ‘business formation’ or ‘business incorporation.’ The latter keywords may reel in fewer searches, but competing for top ranking for them is much easier.

For startups, less competition is better. Once a company has topped a tailed keyword, then it can aspire for bigger keywords.

Also remember, the keyword strategies should be accompanied by a solid content strategy. Browsers that arrive at your site should feel free to come back.
