Does putting a physical address on a site make a difference in search engine optimization?

Apparently, it does. According to Search Engine Land, placing a physical address on the site can enhance its chances of ranking.

Indicating an office address in a prominent location is a simple way to gain the trust of a customer. Plus, it allows search engines to validate that the content isn’t spam.
