Real time search and its effects on SEO

Published on December 17, 2009 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Real time search is the next big thing in cyberspace. Google recently integrated it in its search engine, and Bing has a similar feature as well. This will lead to some changes in the search engine optimization (SEO) playing field.

Bing was actually the first to capitalize on real time search with its Twitter search engine, which was released last October. Google soon followed with the integration of real-time search results from Twitter and other social networking sites.

Which of these search engines have the advantage? According to Danny Sullivan from Search Engine Land, Bing provides a more complete set of data. Sullivan says that Bing has improved its search data with information from Facebook and other social networking sites.

Real time search is a fresh element for SEO. And experts forecast that it will shape the industry’s future, because it is something that users will often use. Consequently, SEO specialists need to study the value of real time search to SEO campaigns.
