Site speed may affect SEO for Google

Does speed affect your site’s search engine optimization campaign?

According to Google, only one in a thousand sites is affected by speeds. However, it’s still important and it should be tested to verify its performance for SEO.

Google says that website speed can affect a site’s SERP standing. Previously, Google was only known to punish sites with poor user experience.

“We’re looking at what it looks like for real users,” explained Matt Cutts, Google’s director for search. “If you have a lot of users that are having an overall slow experience then that could affect the overall rating.”

The primary goal for Google, after all, is to improve the user experience for browsers. And if this can be done through SEO.
