Young Sunmee Huh has created a new search engine, which is drawing admiration from experts in the industry.
The teenager named the search engine Good50.com, which she made for her grandfather—who found it difficult to read small fonts and to determine which were sponsored links and natural results.
Huh said that she still wants to develop Good50 by adding images to its functions. However, she stressed, “… right now, I’m concentrated on its original focus: keeping [Good50] simple to use.”
The site was created with the help of Google open-source API, and Huh pays a portion of the site’s ad revenue to Google.
Huh also says that she will pledge five cents to charity for every 50 site visitors.
According to experts, modified versions of these types of search engines can be valuable for search engine optimization (SEO). It can target specific demographics, allowing for a more precisely aimed SEO campaign.
