The duties of a SEO writer

Published on November 19, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

A search engine optimization writer is responsible for creating content that will optimize a website.

Generally, the content is short. The prime consideration is to insert keywords into the content, which help raise the rankings of the sight in the SERPs. The goal is to reach the top results position in a search engine.

A SEO campaign centers on several keywords. For instance, auto parts sites would definitely have “auto parts” as a keyword. Other keywords can be “buy auto parts online,” “car parts,” and so on and so forth. These words should be placed in different content areas of the site.

In addition to actual site content, SEO writers also provide blog content to drive traffic to the site. Buyers tend to trust blogs as references before buying anything on the Web. As long as you place the right link in the blog, you will definitely see a spur in Web traffic.

From time to time, SEO writers also seed press releases to promote the site.
