The importance of conversion for SEO

Published on October 21, 2011 by David Castillo   ·   No Comments

Most search engine optimization campaigns focus on improving rankings and traffic. However, this doesn’t guarantee profit. What happens to browsers when they’re redirected to the site? You need to close the sale to secure the profit.

Obviously, search marketing isn’t just about increasing rankings and traffic volume. It’s about conversion—turning browsers into customers.

Securing conversion entails analytics, branding, design, user experience, and web development. And all these things are essential parts of SEO campaigns.

To achieve conversion, you need to understand its different concepts. These are conversion by categories, conversion by URL, and conversion by keyword. Each of these categories requires different approaches.

Pair your conversion categories with the other SEO elements, and you’ll find conversion to be much easier.
