The role of market research in your SEO campaign

Published on August 23, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Search engine optimization (SEO) needs to be backed by market research.

Based on research data, online marketers will be able to create an SEO-friendly website that is aimed at precisely-targeted visitors.

There are some factors that need to be considered for market research:

•    Find the right keywords – to do this, you can use free tools in the internet, like Google Keyword Tool, eBay past auctions, and others
•    Head to forums and social media sites – these are casual places to find your market. You can link up your site in these mediums. Just make sure that you’re in a relevant site.
•    Spy on the competition – study the SEO campaign of your competitors, especially if they’re doing better than you in the rankings. Replicate what they are doing and try to do it better.
