The search engine battle for China

Published on January 9, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Baidu—the Chinese search engine—will be launching an ad-supported network, which will apply more pressure to Google as the two search engines are competing for the Chinese market.

Search engine optimization (SEO) will be affected when these search engines clash against each other. Currently, China’s leading search engine is trying to expand in a market filled with tough competitors.

The new Baidu feature will offer licensed content from top media companies.

China is one of the few countries wherein Google is not the top search engine and it has limited growth in the online video market, because the government has banned YouTube.
