TweetUp has SEO potential

Published on April 15, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

TweetUp Inc. has introduced TweetUp—a new search platform that will offer marketers another venue to use search engine optimization (SEO).

TweetUp will allow marketers to bid for keywords. The search results will be based on algorithm, relevancy, and time. Between results there will also be paid advertisements based on the searched keyword.

Advertisers can also integrate TweetUp to their websites. The generated revenue from the platform will be divided equally between TweetUp and the advertiser.

“Twitter has such tremendous potential as a real-time information network far beyond what has been realized to date,” commented Bill Gross, the founder and CEO of TweetUp. “For most people, though, 80 percent or more of the tweets that fly by them when they’re searching for something are useless noise. For serious tweeters, the task of attracting interested and relevant followers is equally daunting. TweetUp will change all of that.”

Twitter is also expected to release another similar platform called Promoted Tweets.
