UK-based companies need to realize the advantage of boosting their online presence.

Matt Brittin, Google’s managing director in the country, told a newspaper that UK organizations proportionately spend more for pay-per-click (PPC) than US companies. However, Brittin said that the interest in the sector could see more improvement.

“The commercial usage of the internet in the UK is at the forefront of a lot of our thinking,” said Brittin. “Staggeringly, there are 1.5 million firms across the UK that don’t have websites.”

Mr. Brittin said that the internet is a huge market, where goods are purchased everyday

Google has already pledged to help more than 100,000 companies to get online.
