Universal paid research will see a breakout year

Experts are saying that universal paid search will be an emerging trend in 2010.

Alex Cohen of Search Engine Watch says that universal paid search will be the next step for internet marketing services. This will improve ad diversity and personalized ads. Not to mention, it will expand focus beyond click through rates.

Paid search will add more media to the mix, like images and videos in search engine results.

Still, text ads will continue to dominate the results pages, and universal paid search will offer new ad formats and text ad extensions. The experts also forecast in the increase in the use of video ads.

Click-to-call numbers will also see more applications.
