User experience is important for Bing SEO

Published on July 14, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

Online companies that are optimizing for Bing should focus on user experience.

Cedric Chambaz from Microsoft told Computing magazine that one of the ways that Bing’s algorithm differs from Google is that it factors how users interact with a particular page.

For instance, when users click a result and see that it is not what they’re looking for, they usually click back. This indicates that the browser did not find what he/she was looking for. Chambaz says that this means the content did not match the user’s intentions.

“The algorithm can learn from that by observing that pattern,” continued Chambaz.

Chambaz says that search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns should use only relevant keywords on their site, as well as all the available local information.
