Weighing SEO and PPC

Published on September 7, 2010 by Last Click News   ·   No Comments

What are the differences between search engine optimization (SEO) campaigns and pay per click (PPC) campaigns?

SEO campaigns require an upfront investment, especially if the site is new and unknown. One the positive side, SEO’s benefits continue even when investments are stopped.

On the other hand, PPC campaigns deliver more immediate results. Plus, these results can be easily weighed and measured with the right online tools.

Choosing one over the other is not an absolute necessity. In fact, some companies have managed to integrate the two to create one successful online marketing campaign. But, if you absolutely have to choose, it depends on your target market.

You need to develop a knowledge base about your target market—their tastes and preferences.

Whether you’re creating a SEO or PPC campaign, you need extensive research about keyword selection and your target demographics.
